Sometimes it's better to buy

I own a paint company. I have color, after color after color of paint at my house. I also have every paint tool imaginable.

So, my friends couldn't believe it when I BOUGHT an adorably painted window pane. I found this treasure at a garage sale one summer.

I spotted it from the street. If you are a real, genuine garage saler... you know the feeling I had when I saw it.
You think you spot a treasure from a distance.
You casually walk up the drive, acting like you aren't going directly to the possible treasure, but making an obvious move straight towards it.
You hold your breath. What if it's junk after you see it up close?
You feel a slight adrenaline rush as you examine it .... it's in good shape.
But wait! What's the price?????

$25!!!!! It's a steal baby!

The person that painted this did such a great job. It's funky, it's fun, it's HUGE! I have it on the wall of my house that you first see every time I come in the house from the garage. It's one of my favorite garage saling treasures.

Sometimes, even if I could paint it, it's just so nice to buy it.

See more of my treasures at my Magic Brush blog!

  3. What a great find! I totally know what you mean about walking up, nonchalantly, but hoping no one graps that treasure you're eyeing. :)
