moments...

do you know how awesome it feels to finally find that thing that you love and love to do? i mean, blogging is usually part of that, but pam, from moments with pam on etsy, is using her photography to bring a little joy to you, to others and make everything around look just a little better.

pam has some beautiful note cards that just make winter seem not so bad about right now! and they offer up a beautiful scripture along side of the photography too!
you can do so many things with the prints...which you can also special order through pam and frame up to make your won home a little more special too.

i say "my grace is sufficient" all the time to help remember that i don't need to be in control...and that my weakness is more than enough. and that's why i love love love this print. might have to get it for my office!
go visit pam at moments by pam on etsy or at her photography blog HERE or her personal blog HERE. oh and tell you you found her here at project{create a home}. i promise you will love this lady, not just for her photography, but for her heart!

{Gifts For The Writer or Book Lover}

I was looking for a particular journal for a friend's birthday gift and I finally tracked it down at Chronicle Books. I've never visited their site before and I was really amazed at all of the cool book options that they have for really everyone on your list from Kids to New Parents to Cooks to Crafters & Gardeners. They really have a lot of cool, interesting books and I just had to share. Plus, I found a PROMO CODE {gotta love that!}. If you create a NEW account with them, enter the CODE: GETBOOKS at checkout and receive 30% off your purchase AND FREE SHIPPING!

I really love the idea of a Gratitude Journal - a special place to keep good thoughts and blessings. This one offers prompts as well which I think is a great outlet to explore other things we are grateful for. $14.95

One Line A Day is a great way to keep track of thoughts and memories, a mini-journal if you will. $16.95

I was introduced to this book when I saw the Authors on Oprah. They made me laugh out loud and I can't wait to get my hands on this book! $18.95

from the heart valentine

i am not a big fan of valentine's day...because i want my hubs to love me like i deserve all year long. {i'm a love and cherish snob...so shoot me}. so the only way we do any "gifting" around these parts is in the homemade, and straight from the heart departments.

this year, i made hubs a love box that he can put on or in his desk at work. it's a little glimpse of my love for him...and it's a total cost of $1.25...but straight from the heart.

you need a container of some sort.

{i found the R container in the dollar spot at michael's but you can use anything you already have or re-purpose a gift box.}

paper and pen of choice

ribbon or twine

i used a piece of 12x12 scrapbook paper i had on hand {i have way too much on hand btw} and just started writing down in columns all the reasons i love hubs. some are funny, some are sweet, some are a little saucy, but all of them are heart felt.

after i was done filling up the paper, i cut each out and then folded it in half.

i wrote a little note on the lid...

and added the ribbon for presentation.

and viola...a super cute and easy valentine for hubs.

wanna see more of me and my fam...head on over to a thorn among roses.
