Chandelier Spice

If you're like me - wanting to spruce up your home, but having more want than cash - then here's a post for you.

I'm infatuated with chandeliers. I wanted to put one in my kitchen, but after checking out the price tags on the cheapest ones I could find, I gave up hope.

One year, Target had some really simple chandeliers for $100. Not bad, but still over my budget. I waited, and waited, and was able to buy two of them for $25 - each!

One I put in my foyer, and the other went in my kitchen. Over the last few years, I've gotten a little creative with my kitchen and my chandelier has changed with my changing color schemes.

Here it is in the original color:

I first spray-painted it white, and then a coral pink:

Today it is red, but I bet that's not its final color:

This little chandelier my sister snagged for $6 at a local consignment shop.

Isn't it adorable painted aqua? I re-wired as a swag to hang over my kitchen sink.

Now, I've seen some very expensive chandeliers, but if you keep your eyes peeled, and use some imagination - along with a can of spray paint - you'll find some amazing treasures for cheap!
