Making No Sew Curtains L~O~N~G~E~R~!

Joining Fabric Together:
This is a easy way to add length to your store bought curtains or add cottage charm by adding two coordinating fabrics together...a fun way to add character and whimsy to your home...Buy extra fabric that you can repeat in the room for pillows, chair or bench fabric, etc... Unhem or cut off the drapery panels, to the length you want.... Figure out how wide you want the border to be. It can be any width. I like a nice heavy look...between 8″-20″...Figure out the total length you want with the two pieces sewn/bonded together. Adding fusible tape or bonding web to the fabrics are an easy and quick way to get the project done!..You can also sew them, if you are a seamstress...But isn't it fun to break the rules...;)

  4. Good idea! I'm by no stretch of the imagination a seamstress but I sewed extra fabric onto my dining room curtains and it's very easy as it's just sewing a straight line!
