Screaming Easy Clapboards!

Clapboard makes any cottage...well, more cottage~y!...:) I love the way the ceiling and walls come together...And how cute is that door!

You can make a clapboard wall with stained wood...It warms up any space!

I love mixing modern with country...This Modern Country kitchen is so charming with the clapboard walls!

I love Cottage Design...I am attracted to the simplicity of it...I love Clapboard houses, too!...But...I really love Clapboard interior walls!...They are charming and give your cottage decor a backdrop...You see them in magazines and cottage design books...They go great with Modern Country design, too...I have a design tip that will help you recreate those walls without ripping out drywall...You can get thin pieces of wood and attach them to the wall...Just make sure to find the studs...You can stain or paint them to match your own design! So, let's clap for Screaming Easy Clapboards, shall we?

Love clapboard?...But don't want to do all the work? Look for furniture and accents pieces that have the look you are going for!

  2. Love clapboard. If I could afford it, I would do all the vaulted ceilings in my house. BUT THAT BED!!! That was fresh and I could jump right in and maybe never leave!

  3. Love this web site! We had a large "clapboard walled nursery" in our old farm house - 1920's-30's. Every 4th ofJuly, all the siblings and cousins were allowed to draw a picture on the wall. By the time I was in my teens (I'm the youngest of the 9 - now 80 years old)the wall was filled and had a story of its own. Some one bought the old house, put in running water, electricity, and fresh paint in the old nursery. Not much I can say about that.
    Thanks for the memory.
